Background Music

As the main theme around our film is gangster related, we decided as a group to use the genre of rap in our trailer. Taking out the lyrics to songs, allowed us to anaylse the rhythm and beat of the music, to see if it fit into our trailer.

We had a few ideas of music choices, but decided on a track by Mobb Deep. This song is called, Surivival of the fittest and the radio edit can be seen below:

The intro to this songs, fits in perfect in the editing drafts of our trailer as it warms the audience up to the main part of the trailer and the film. Overall, we were all very happy with the song choice

Questionnaire Analysis

This is my results from my questionnaire. Looking at 9 applicants, i can gain a view on what i should apply to my film.

I can gather that most of my candidates feel the trailer is the most encouraging aspect of going to see a film. In our project we must make sure that if this is the most appealing, to make sure that it sells the film. Using quick cuts and edits of action will create suspense for the audience.

I also gathered that the comedy action genre is the most prefered. However, we are going to create a genre of Action/ Drama as this is what we feel to be the most comfortable genre, allowing us to diverse in ideas.

Some candidates do buy film magazines. Knowing this now, i have to make sure that front cover of the magazine that i am going to create must be of very high quality. I will research what film magazine front covers have been made, and apply this to my own creation. I will look at the tecniques used, such as the puffs and pugs that apply to the house style of the music magazine.
